Television/ Media Ministry While being a volunteer in media may seem daunting, the truth is that our volunteers do not need prior experience or technical skills. All the training they need is provided here at a pace that is comfortable for all of our volunteers, and we help all of our volunteers find an area best suits their gifts. Here are some of the areas where our media volunteers work:
- Camera operators
- Lighting operators
- Audio engineers
- Screen operators
Our media volunteers generally work two services a month and are required to be in service at least twice a month. Consider volunteering behind the scenes with us in the media department, and be a part of making the sights and sounds of the Word of Life experience possible.

Kidz World Children's Ministry Our Kidz World volunteers serve in many capacities to nurture and empower the next generation of godly leaders in the church. With lots of areas available for service, Kidz World provides a great atmosphere for those who love children to use their gifts. Volunteer opportunities include the following:
- Sign in booths: Volunteers here offer a friendly greeting and help welcome children and their parents. They direct children to the correct classes and get all of the necessary information for our first-time guests.
- Door Monitors: These volunteers monitor the doors for each classroom, making sure children move smoothly and safely in and out of the classroom when necessary.
- Crowd Control: These volunteers remind the children of the rules during the service, and they help keep the service orderly and enjoyable for everyone involved.
- Lights and Sound: Here is an opportunity for those who would like to be a part of creating the perfect atmosphere for the service. These volunteers work the sound and lights during the service, following an outline to make sure that all the technical details of the service run smoothly.
- Computer and Screens: Our volunteers in this area work the computer and pull up the appropriate screen to minister to the children during the appropriate times during the service.
- Actor Leaders: An area for volunteers with a flair for the dramatic, this area of service involves teaching portions of the lesson as an animated character.
- Music Leaders: These leaders assist with training and leading praise and worship during the children's services.
- Game Leaders: This are of service is for the leader who never quite grew up. They come up with and facilitate exciting games and fun activities for the children.

Baby Land and The Ark (Nursery and Preschool Ministry) Our volunteers in Baby Land and The Ark have a wonderful chance to offer love and instruction to our precious little ones. Volunteers in Baby Land must serve once a month in the nursery. Our Ark volunteers must serve once a week for three months in the preschool department. All volunteers are expected to attend quarterly training workshops for new volunteers. Areas of service include the following:
- Supervisor: These leaders serve in our check in area as well as overseeing our caregivers; they welcome new parents and make sure our department is secure. These volunteers are the smiling faces greeting parents upon arrival and the ones who return children to their parents at the end of service. This position requires a happy and welcoming personality in addition to making parents feel secure in leaving their children in our care.
- Caregiver: Volunteers in this area provide the hands-on care for our little ones. In Baby Land they take care of playtime, snack time or feedings, and demonstrate the love of God. In The Ark these volunteers are those who teach through crafts and activities, music and worship, and appropriate Bible lessons.

Prayer Team Our Prayer Team volunteers offer support to those who need it most. Whether serving at the altar or on the prayer hotline, these volunteers are prepared with encouragement and prayer.
Altar Prayer Team members offer support to those who have made a decision at the altar to follow Jesus or who have come forward for a specific need. In addition to having completed 3D, these volunteers must be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and must attend necessary training. Our purpose in this area of prayer ministry is to assure those in need of prayer of their salvation, to pray with them regarding the baptism of the Holy Spirit, to assure them that Jesus is the answer to any problem they are facing, and to provide prayer for any area for which they need it. Additionally, these volunteers make contact during the week with the person for whom they prayed. Our Altar Prayer Team members serve at the 10:30 Sunday morning service on the days for which they have committed.

Greeter and Information Center Ministry Our greeters and information center volunteers play a very important role in the service at Word of Life. As the hosts and hostesses of each service, our greeters welcome our members and guests with warmth and let them know we are glad they are here. Our volunteers in the information center provide our newcomers and members with the information they need to find their way on the campus or to feel connected by having their questions answered with up-to-date information and a friendly smile. In both areas of ministry, our volunteers usually serve every two weeks, but their primary requirement is that they treat each person as a guest in their own homes.
